Spring is springing, so it’s no surprise that April 14th is National Gardening Day! Getting outside to enjoy our gardens and Portland parks feels even more profound than normal after our extended stay at home. The Washington Park Rose Garden and the Portland Japanese Garden are both treasures that can give us inspiration for our home gardening projects. Below are local shops that can help support your green thumb!

  • 42nd Ave: Cully Farm Store is a one of a kind gem and “Farmer” Ted is a wealth of knowledge! The store offers tools, feed and seed for your urban farm. Want more house plants? Then just walk next door to Portland Bloem. This small plant and floral boutique is a favorite spot of Venture Portland District Organizer Deborah. The store is female owned, has both indoor and outdoor plants as well as garden design and floral service for special events. They also carry local pottery!
