Portland’s business districts are hosting family-friendly fun that will have you screaming with delight. There are plenty of options for trick-or-treating, but you can also enjoy Day of the Dead celebrations, costume contests, pumpkin carving, scavenger hunts, and more. This year, make your Halloween magical by shopping local. Here are a few ways to get into the spirit of Halloween while supporting small businesses.
- Beaumont: From 4-6pm on Halloween, Fremont Street will be bustling with Trick-or-Treaters! This year, participating businesses will be giving out fun-size AND full-size candy. A few lucky trick-or-treaters will also receive a gift card to a participating business of their choice!
- Central Eastside: Milagro’s 30th Anniversary Dia de los Muertos Festival honors Latino culture with altars, performances, workshops, and bike rides. It also supports local businesses and artists while creating immersive experiences that celebrate Día de los Muertos and build community connections.
- Division/Clinton: All month long, A Nightmare on Clinton Street brings you scary movies at the Clinton Street Theater paired with horror-inspired cocktails at Dot’s Cafe.
- Historic Parkrose: On October 31st, you are invited to stroll through the Parkrose Business District, collect treats from local businesses, and enjoy festive decorations and costumes galore during their annual Trick-or-Treat event. It’s a safe, family-friendly way to celebrate Halloween while supporting this amazing community.
- Lloyd: Mark your calendars for a unique celebration of spooky fun and heartfelt remembrance on November 1st! Visit the Lloyd District for their free Halloween and Día de los Muertos Festival right on the iconic Blumenauer Bridge and along the Green Loop.
- Midway: Get your costumes and candy bags ready for the annual Halloween Haunted Forest at Glendoveer Golf & Tennis! The indoor Trick-or-Treat path is on Friday, October 31st, from 4-6pm.
- Mississippi Ave: Bring your little ghouls, ghosts, and goblins for a frightfully fun afternoon of trick-or-treating on Mississippi Ave. On Halloween, from 3-6pm, look for participating shops with balloons to find the sweet spots for candy.
- Montavilla: On October 31st, pick up a passport and visit participating businesses for a chance to win prizes during the Fall Crawl.
- Multnomah Village: All goblins and monsters are encouraged to visit Multnomah Village on Halloween Day to enjoy a range of Halloween treats, decorations, and scary delights. The Trick-or-Treat Costume Parade is from 3:30-5:30pm. Get more details here.

- Woodstock: Halloween is happening in Woodstock this year! From 3:00-5:30pm on October 31st, bring your costumed crew to visit businesses around the district for treats during the Spooktacular event. Homestead Schoolhouse will be open for activities and festivities from 4-5:30pm.
