Summer’s sun-filled days mean lots of great reasons to venture out and explore business districts across Portland. Whether you are looking to browse boutiques during a street fair, discover amazing local artists during an art walk, enjoy live music, or connect with your community, there is plenty going on now through September. Here are just a few of the fun activities to put on your calendar:

  • Beaumont: The Fremont Fest Marketplace will take place on August 5 and will feature a beer garden at Hi-Top Tavern and a Kid’s Zone at Wild Hearts Wellness.
  • Central Eastside: On July 7 and 8, the Portland Night Market will blend food, culture, music, drinks, and retail together for an adventurous evening in the Industrial District.
  • Hawthorne: Hawthorne Boulevard is one of Portland’s favorite streets, and home to the City’s longest-running street fair! The Hawthorne Street Fair pulls out all the stops for its 40th anniversary on August 27 with multiple music stages, beer gardens, and blocks of sidewalk sales.
  • Lloyd: Party on, Portland! brings together neighbors and small businesses from Lloyd, Sullivan’s Gulch, and Kerns for a free celebration of community at Holladay Park on August 5. With food, live music, and tons of activities, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
  • Midway: Festival of Nations will happen on September 16 and will celebrate the diversity of the Division Midway District while showcasing the best of East Portland’s multicultural community and businesses.
  • Mississippi Ave: On July 15, bustling North Mississippi Avenue will be car-free for a day of food, vendors, music, and fun at Portland’s largest street fair, Mississippi Street Fair.
  • Montavilla: On July 30, stroll down Stark Street and enjoy district businesses, vendors, a farmer’s market, and family-friendly entertainment and activities at the Montavilla Street Fair.
  • Multnomah Village: Multnomah Days is a one-day open-air, family-friendly street festival on August 19 with musical acts, street entertainers, art, and 100+ vendor booths, plus food carts!
  • NE Broadway: Broadway in Bloom is a block party with a purpose, bringing live tunes, tasty treats, and eco-friendly fun! Join NE Broadway Business Association and EcoLloyd on July 14 for free bike repair, recycling with Ridwell, fitness classes, market pop-ups, active transit with GoLloyd, and more!
  • Parkrose: Summer Nights is on July 19 and will feature an evening night market, live music, community resources, food, drinks, and fun interactive activities for all.
  • St. Johns: The Cathedral Park Jazz Festival will celebrate its 43rd anniversary on July 14-16! This landmark jazz festival will feature some of the best local and national acts. On August 5, the St. Johns Art Walk will showcase all the creative makers and fine artists that belong to this unique community.
