Shop small and win BIG with Small Shops, Big Hearts and venture out to your favorite business districts for a heaping helping of holiday cheer. We have compiled a list of some upcoming events by business district to help you plan your shop local adventure today! Check it out below!
City-wide: November 16-December 10 – Shop Small, Win Big!
Win Big! makes holiday shopping fun and rewarding! Each visit or purchase to a small business earns customers raffle entries. Visit as many small businesses as possible November 16th through December 10th for a chance to win one of over 100 prizes. The more places you shop, the greater chance you have to Win Big!
Beaumont: December 1 – Fremont Holiday Fest
Take selfies with Santa & Mrs. Claus and enjoy the Grant Royal Blues, drinks & snacks, and wreaths for sale at Beaumont Hardware. Businesses will be hosting craft, food, and drink stations. Look for balloons at participating businesses!
Central Eastside Industrial: November 30-December 2 – Portland Night Market
The Portland Night Market happens on 11/30-12/2 and is a blend of food, culture, music, drinks, and retail in the Industrial District. Don’t miss this amazing event!
Foster: November 20-December 22 – Foster Holiday Passport
Get your holiday shopping done on Foster, take some time for a drink or bite to eat, and earn the chance at a $50 gift card while you do. The Foster Area Business Association has created a digital passport that highlights member businesses and all the places to eat, drink, and shop at during the holidays. Download the app, take a photo for every purchase, post to app, and be entered into weekly drawings.
Greater Brooklyn: All throughout the holidays Hip Chicks Do Wine are hosting a variety of amazing events! Check it out and attend one or all!
Hawthorne: December 3 – Holiday Tree Lighting
Enjoy live music, hot cocoa and cider, ornament-making for all ages plus a cameo from Santa! Bring a tree decoration or make one at the event.
Hillsdale/Multnomah Village: November 24-December 31 – Golden Ticket
Receive a Golden Ticket when you shop at local, participating businesses. The Golden Ticket can then be redeemed at a neighboring participating business to receive a discount or a gift with purchase. On 12/1, things get even more festive with Multnomah Village’s annual Holiday Gala, with music, hot chocolate, holiday window displays and decorations, and SANTA!
Historic Parkrose: December 1 – Black Santa
Join community members of Parkrose for a fun event for the whole family! Black Santa is coming to Parkrose and he is on a mission to spread cheer and inclusivity this holiday season!

Lloyd: November 18 –Mrs. Claus’ Tree Lighting
Join Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the Lloyd Center Ice Rink on November 18th as they kick off the holiday season with a magical Tree Lighting. Enjoy skating performances, Santa’s Elves, music, snow, and photos with the Clauses.
December 2-3 – My People’s Market
My People’s Market is a collaborative event organized by Travel Portland and Prosper Portland. The marketplace is aimed to advance opportunities for business owners of color by connecting them to the travel industry and other professionals who can help expand and scale their businesses.
St. Johns: November 11-December 17 – Ugly Sweater Holiday Events
Join the St. Johns Boosters as they Light Up St. Johns for the holidays! The Boosters and local businesses present a series of celebrations to revel in the most festive of seasons with window displays, photo contests, scavenger hunts, shopping specials, a bar crawl, and more.
