Division/Clinton

It’s a bit of an in-joke among residents of the Division-Clinton area that no one ever leaves the neighborhood, and why would they? SE Division and Clinton Streets from 12th to 52nd Ave offer all the coffee shops (Stumptown, Wallflower), tap rooms (Imperial), bistros (Jacqueline, Harlow), and James Beard Award nominees (Oma’s Hideaway, Magna Kusina) that any self-respecting Portland neighborhood takes for granted. But what sets this district apart is the remarkable diversity of resale shops, from thrifty finds (Village Merchants) to designer consignment (Raylee) to museum-worthy vintage (Xtabay), and its overwhelming options when it comes to sweets. There’s frozen custard (Cornet), gelato (Pinolo), ice cream (Salt & Straw, Fifty Licks), pies (Lauretta Jean’s), Food-Network-worthy plated desserts (Libre) and much, much more.
