It wouldn’t be the holidays without delicious food, so we are excited to drop this last-minute dining guide to help you find the perfect local spot when you don’t feel like cooking. Whether you are in the mood for a big meal or just craving a sweet treat, this list has a little bit of everything. Make your dollars count this season by supporting these local restaurants and bars:

  • 82nd: Portland’s made-to-order Japanese-style ice cream crepes and hot dogs at Mojo Crepes will make you say “holy crepe!” They also offer bubble tea, iced teas, coffee, smoothies, and slushies.
  • Beaumont: Spend your Christmas in Hawaii at Noho’s! Their menu of Hawaiian favorites helps guests slip away to the islands any time of year. Needing some comfort food? Amalfi’s is a family-run Italian trattoria since 1959 serving pizza, classic fare, and cocktails in a warm setting.
  • Central Eastside: Looking for a fancy, French experience to tantalize your taste buds this holiday? Le Pigeon and, sister restaurant, Canard are just what the chef ordered! Le Pigeon features a rotating menu of creative French-inspired fare served at communal tables or their bar in a snug room. Canard offers a counter that overlooks the kitchen, boasting a culinary experience you do not want to miss!
  • Foster: For some of the best vegan and vegetarian-friendly brunch in Portland, Foster’s own Off The Griddle is a must. Not only do they have a top-notch vegan/vegetarian menu, but they do Bloody Mary’s, Mimosas, and have beer and kombucha on tap. Got the hankering for some pizza? Pizzeria Otto is your go-to spot for old-world Neapolitan pizza. This family-friendly neighborhood pizzeria also has a nice selection of salads, beer, and wine. Pro tip: they have a pretty sweet happy hour.
  • Greater Brooklyn: Edelweiss Sausage and Delicatessen has been offering handmade sausages and specialty European foods since 1981. They are the perfect caterer for your German-inspired Christmas party!
  • Hawthorne: For a playful, thoughtful, and engaging holiday dining experience, try 3 Doors Down Café and Lounge. Start with their dynamic wine list or a creative cocktail, then sample their inventive starters, house-made pastas, or perfectly grilled fish and meats.
  • Historic Parkrose: Christmas is a big deal in the Philippines and Fork and Spoon Owner, Edwina, is here to help you celebrate. She went from culinary school to food cart, to brick and mortar and has proven her passion and excellence in Filipino cuisine.
  • Hollywood: Taking farm-to-table quite literally, Piccone’s Corner is a butcher shop, deli, and bar specializing in pork directly from owner Austin Piccone’s Wallow & Root Pasture Farm. Piccone’s offers one of the city’s most comprehensive butcher shops, along with a full bar and a kitchen offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Lents: Every day the chefs at Olivers Café roast whole chickens and fresh cut potatoes, make scratch soups, and bake fresh pastries. Open until 3pm each day, this is a perfect brunch spot no matter what you are craving! In the mood for Mexican cuisine? El Pato Feliz Jr has many flavorful tacos to choose from and they put a lot of energy into creating a space that feels welcoming for all. 
  • Lloyd: Metropolitan Tavern is a rooftop restaurant and bar with a contemporary feel, city views, and inventive food and cocktails. The menu includes small plates, shareable boards, pizzas, and more. Craving a nice glass of wine? Amphora Wine Merchant is a retail wine bar and market on the street level with small bites and a selection of Pacific Northwest wines.
  • Midway: Highly rated and family owned, Sister’s Ethiopian Restaurant serves dishes inspired by Ethiopian cultural traditions and rich in flavor from African spices.
  • Montavilla: Ya Hala is a neighborhood favorite boasting homestyle Lebanese cuisine in a warm, roomy interior with faux wall finishes. If you love Mediterranean food, this is a must try!
  • Multnomah Village: Fat City Café is a long-standing diner with kitschy decor, big portions of American food, and signature cinnamon rolls.
  • St. Johns: YuGiNong is the spot in North PDX for gluten free Korean fare with a focus on organic and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Williams District: Eem is a modern Thai eatery serving creative BBQ and craft cocktails including tiki drinks in traditional mugs. Their fresh take on traditional fare in a fabulous environment makes Eem a great destination this holiday season.
