Spring break is in full swing and Portland’s annual explosion of flowers is here! This Spring Break, feel good about supporting a local business and stimulating the local economy. This time of year can come as a reprieve for small businesses who often experience a lull in sales before spring. Many businesses did not make it through this past winter due to the economy, so please check out these upcoming spring events and promotions!

  • 82nd Avenue: It wouldn’t be Spring without the 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade! On April 26, the parade will begin at 82nd Avenue & Bush Street (north of Eastport Plaza) and end at Clinton Street (south of Division).
  • Central Eastside: On April 4, the Portland Night Market will showcase the many unique businesses that call Portland home. The event blends food, culture, music, drinks, and retail together for an adventurous evening in the Central Eastside. Then on April 12-13, support 100+ local makers and artists during the Portland Spring Market at the Redd.
  • Columbia Corridor: Get ready for a flavorful weekend at the 1st Annual Portland Tacos, Tequila, and Tamales Festival, happening at the Expo Center! Experience the best of Portland’s food scene with a celebration of Latin American cuisine and culture.
  • Downtown: This Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30, downtown Portland will come alive with organic colors to mark the coming of Spring at Holi, India’s iconic festival of unity and joy. Afterwards, check out the cherry blossoms at the Waterfront!
  • Historic Parkrose: Wednesday, April 2nd, is the next Historic Parkrose Happy Hour event! This one is special, as Prosper Portland staff will be joining to share info about the future of East Portland’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts!
  • Multnomah Village: Earth Day (this year on April 26th) in Multnomah Village is a beautiful community event each year. Bring the family and have fun cleaning up the village!
  • NE Broadway: March Madness is here, and the Sports Bra has a loaded schedule. Check out everything going on this week here.
  • Old Town: Who is ready for another full and fabulous Sunday Funday brunch at Darcelle XV Showplace? Also, the Lan Su Chinese Garden has a bunch of fun events going on during the cherry blossom season. Check it out here!
  • Pearl District: Did you hear? First Thursday is back! For 25 years, Urban Art Network has organized the First Thursday Street Gallery in the Pearl District on the first Thursday of each month from April — October.
  • Raleigh Hills: Looking to do some spring cleaning? Mark your calendars for the 13th Annual Earth Week Recycle & Shred event on Saturday, April 26th!
  • St. Johns: St. Johns is celebrating the season with a day full of family-friendly fun and district-wide activations at Spring Fling! On April 26th, enjoy art, activities, and live music, plus, there’s a giveaway featuring hundreds of dollars in gift cards and merchandise to local businesses.
