Community events produced by business associations and small businesses connect neighbors, foster cohesion and encourage mindful support of our local economy. Did you know that Venture Portland has supported and funded the associations that produce many of these community events since 1986? We are passionate about a great party, especially an event that keeps our hard-earned dollars in the hands of our neighbors, working for us in the city we call home. Here are some not-to-miss events happening in the next few weeks:

  • Beaumont: From 4-6pm on Halloween, Fremont St will be bustling with Trick-or-Treaters! This year, participating businesses will be giving out full size and fun size candy. A few lucky trick-or-treaters will also receive a gift card to a participating business of their choice!
  • Foster: The Foster district has several events coming up at local businesses. 5&Dime Bar is hosting an all-ages pumpkin carving contest on 10/23. The good folks from Meet Your Maker Market will be set up on 10/26 with 30 vendors (between SE 65th-68th Ave). Hammer + Jacks will also bring out the cameras for a Spooky & Sweet costumed photo session with Banana-Nana Photography on Halloween (10/31) while 20 local businesses will be giving out candy to trick-or-treaters.
